About Ms. Shawna

Ms. Shawna is a dedicated homeschooling mom of three who is passionate about outdoor, nature-based play for children. With her experience as a Tinkergarten leader for many years, Shawna has witnessed firsthand the transformative impact that engaging with nature can have on a child's development. She recognizes that the outdoors offers a unique and stimulating environment where children can unleash their creativity, develop problem-solving skills, and foster a sense of wonder.

Through her homeschooling journey, Shawna encourages her own children, as well as others in her community, to get outside and find the joy and beauty in the simple things that surround us everyday. She understands that the connections made with others and the natural world not only enhance a child's educational experience but also foster their overall well-being and empathy towards all living creatures big and small.
