Nature Clubs & Farmyard Explorers club at Cheyne Ranch!
WHO: Age 5 - 13? (we are flexible, contact me about ages)
WHAT: We will progress through a curriculum of barn skills, our focus is safety, animal health, cleaning, feeding, grooming, basic animal anatomy & first-aid and ground work with horses. While we are doing this - we are building a community of students connected to each other!
WHEN:
Mondays 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM Farmyard Explorers with Shawna!
Wednesdays 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM (afterschool)
Fridays 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM (homeschool)

Please bring:
Closed toed shoes or Boots (or I have kids sizes to borrow, please ask me about the size availability)
Lunch and snacks for eating at our playground & picnic tables
Refillable water bottle (filtered cold water available to refill)
Clothes that can get dirty or messy.

Cheyne Ranch does not offer horses / ponies for individuals βto ride.β We groom, walk, wash, love-on the ponies and other animals.
This is small group outdoor social time at its best!
Please NOTE: this is not horseback riding lessons. As part of our animal, barn and nature skill building, we may go on a hand-led pony / nature walk occasionally, but we will not be learning mounted riding skills. For horseback riding lessons, please refer to our horseback riding page.
