Accommodating Ramadan 2026
We want to share some details for families who may be observing Ramadan this spring, and to let you know that we are very happy to support you in whatever way works best for your family.
Several families have asked about skipping the 8-week block Spring 1 because of Ramadan. When we looked closely at the calendar, we realized the overlap may be a little different than it first appears, so we wanted to share the timing and some flexible options.
How Ramadan lines up with our schedule
☪️ Ramadan 2026: approximately February 27 – March 28
🌷 Spring 1: January 17 – March 13
🌴 Spring Break: March 14 – March 23
🌸 Spring 2: March 24 – May 19
Because Ramadan begins near the end of Spring 1, and Spring Break falls right in the middle of Ramadan, most students would miss only about three lessons total:
Two lessons at the end of Spring 1
One lesson at the beginning of Spring 2
(See the calendar image below for a visual reference.)
Flexible options we’d like to offer
Instead of skipping an entire 8-week session, we’re happy to offer:
Spring 1 billed for 6 of 8 weeks
Spring 2 billed for 7 of 8 weeks
We also understand that fasting can affect energy and schedules. If a different day or time would feel more supportive during Ramadan, we’re very open to exploring adjustments where possible.
A note about lesson time slots
We also want to be transparent about scheduling.
Because lessons are built in full 8-week blocks and we maintain a waitlist, skipping an entire session usually means that lesson time is offered to another student. Once a spot is filled, we can’t always guarantee the same day and time will be available in the next session.
This is why we wanted to share these options—adjusting tuition for the few lessons affected by Ramadan often allows us to hold your student’s spot, reduce disruption, and keep progress moving in a supportive way.
Our goal
Our goal is to honor your family’s observance, support your student’s well-being, and keep Cheyne Ranch welcoming and accessible for everyone.
Please reach out anytime—we’re always happy to talk through what works best for your family.
