About Central Florida Gifted Center: Here at Central Florida Gifted Center, we believe that Giftedness is more than a test score or perceived academic potential. Giftedness in children and adolescents is a broad understanding that young people are curious and talented in many ways that may not always show up on paper. While these traits are often positive, they can be paired with traits such as perfectionism, anxiety, extreme sensitivity to the world around them, or social skills difficulty. These traits may impeded a young person's ability to learn and grow. At CFGC we are committed to supporting students and their families to ensure that young people can discover what makes them gifted and can accomplish all that they are capable of.

Central Florida Gifted Center was founded by Lauren R. Parker, Psy.S., NCSP to address the growing social and emotional needs of Gifted children and adolescents in the Central Florida area. Lauren is a Nationally Certified and Florida Licensed School Psychologist with extensive experience identifying and supporting Gifted students in the public school system.
